Sylvia was born and raised here in Maine. Growing up as the daughter of a Maine Guide she learned at an early age to appreciate our outdoor heritage. Not only the game that fed us, but the beauty of the trees, the sky, the sounds and smells of the woods, streams, rivers and lakes. She is blessed to be married to a Master Maine Guide for 57 years, mother of two , grandmother of six and great gram to eight, hunting and fishing as a family from one end of the State to the other. Retired from Vishay Sprague as a training development and audit specialist she developed a “Train the Trainer” program and prepared facilities for Military, ISO, CECC and Customer audits in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Mexico, Canada and Israel. Sylvia keeps busy in retirement serving as Secretary of the Minot Historical Society, participating in youth fishing activities with the Norway Parks and Recreation Department, Board member of the Norway-Paris Fish & Game Association, The Mechanic Falls Historical Society and membership, veterans and FIC committees of S.A.M.
