SAM’s E-News (Available to member only): SAM has launched a new emailed newsletter to provide you with more information between issues of the SAM News. Get up-to-the-minute news from the legislature and SAM conferences, learn about pending actions on hunting and fishing rules, find out what special events are coming up soon, and much more! DIF&W Magazine: The department’s magazine is available online at the Department’s website. It is no longer mailed to subscribers.

Landowner Information: the Private Landowner Network is an internet destination for conservation related information, service providers, and programs for private landowners. PLN is a project of the Resources First Foundation, a nonprofit devoted to private sector solutions for the environment. SAM is listed as a resource in the website’s conservation searchable directory of resources.

Rapid Response Team

SAM’s Rapid Response Team: SAM emails Action Alerts to all members of our Rapid Response Team offering opportunities to make their voices heard on proposed laws and rules and on all of the key issues. You can join the RRT by sending an email to: Becky@SportsmansAllianceofMaine.org with the subject line Rapid Response Team. We will add your name to our growing list. If you have a special interest such as hunting issues, non-resident issues, firearms, fishing issues or all these issues, let us know in the body of the email please.

Coyote Hunting Video: SAM has a limited quantity of a very entertaining Maine coyote hunting video featuring Harry Vanderweide and Gerry Lavigne. It includes lots of how-to information. Buy one for your fish and game club and for you and your hunting buddies. And then get out there and hunt coyotes! Gun Seller’s Kit: Federal law provides severe penalties for people who knowingly sell guns to prohibited persons. SAM has partnered with Project Safe Neighborhoods to help you make sure you know that the person you sell a gun to can legally buy and possess it.
